Getting waitlisted by Caltech isn't bad? Just got waitlisted by Caltech and honestly am not that disappointed. Checked out their CDS last year and apparently they only waitlist 1% of students. Out of the approx 50k application, 27k of those were for Kelley. They have to do da acceptances first so it doesn’t leave that many spots for standard admits. They seem to be doing it in waves, and starting early (I've heard a few other schools starting early as well, likely due to lower yield since COVID 19).
